Trying to decide where to go for your winter break? Look no further than Morzine and Les Gets. Here’s ten reasons why:

1: WE’RE ONLY 90 MINUTES FROM GENEVA

Morzine and Les Gets are only 70km from Geneva meaning you can be off the plane and into the mountains in less than 2 hours. There are so many transfers on offer that prices are really competitive these days which makes getting to your destination easy and cheap.

2: WHATEVER THE WEATHER, YOU’LL FIND SNOW

The Portes Du Soleil often gets more snowfall than higher French resorts for a number of reasons, firstly our more northerly position in the Alps and secondly our proximity to Lake Geneva and Mont Blanc: the humidity off Lake Geneva coming into contact with the cold front surrounding Europe’s largest mountain results in heavy snowfall. There’s always snow in Avoriaz, from very early in the season, no matter what the snow is like across the region.

3: YOU’LL NEVER EXPLORE THE WHOLE AREA

4: THERE’S SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE

The huge variety of terrain from the gentle tree lined slopes of Les Gets and Morzine to the steep, challenging world cup downhill course in Avoriaz, or of course, the infamous Swiss WALL in Les Crosets, means that there is something for every ability. There’s a great selection of all grades of pistes from rolling blue runs to steep blacks and challenging parks, it really is suited to every type of skier or border.
