Golf In The AlpsWhy not have a golfing holiday in the mountains? Try the superb par 70, 18 hole golf course at Les Gets-Morzine positioned on the Chavannes ridge, it offers a round of golf with exceptional panoramic views. The course climbs from 1300m to 1600m, but don't worry there are electric buggies for hire! The views are stunning and the Vaffieu restaurant, is situated perfectly for a mid round lunch stop. Situated at the entrance to Avoriaz, on the edge of a pine forest on the Proclou winter ski piste, the Morzine-Avoriaz 9-hole, par 36 course (2930 metres) designed by Hugues Lambert nestles in a beautiful setting commanding an exceptional view of the Aravis mountain range. Its unusual location makes it one of the most spectacular golf courses in France. Nearby there are 18 hole golf courses at Royal Club at Evian (over looking Lake Geneva), Chamonix Golf Club, (designed by the world famous Robert Trent Jones Senior set in a stunning setting between the Mont-Blanc range and the massif of the Aiguilles Rouges). At Megeve there is the Mont D'Arbois Golf Course which is a challenging course set in 124 acres of woodland on the Mont D'Arbois plateau and has spectacular mountain views. Only 40 minutes away is the highest Alpine course in France, Flaine- Les Carroz Golf Course set at an altitude of 1900m which is open to both experienced players and beginners. you up from the airport in our 8 seat luxury VW mini-buses & take you straight for your first round of
golf at the amazing, world famous, Chamonix Golf Club (travel time approx 1 hour). Enjoy lunch at the Club House & spend
the afternoon on the golf course with a view of Mont Blanc......welcome
to the Alps! Once
you've finished your round, we will drive you to our brand new chalet,Cairn Lodge, in Morzine (travel time 1.25 hrs). You may fancy a dip in
the hot tub before being served a 4 course dinner with wine.Day 2: SaturdayToday is an opportunity to get to know the local area, after serving you breakfast we will take you to the beautiful 18 hole Morzine-Les Gets golf course, Les Gets-Morzine. In the afternoon, you can either go to another local course in Avoriaz for another 9 holes, Morzine-Avoriaz or perhaps you'd prefer to go whitewater rafting or try some mountain biking, hiking, paragliding or
just relax by the outdoor pool in Morzine... lots to choose from! The day
will be rounded off with a 4 course dinner in the chalet. Day 3: SundayAfter breakfast we will head to thwe shores of Lake Geneva to the Royal Club at Evian (travel time 45 mins). After a round of golf & a late lunch at the
very welcoming Club House Restaurant, we will then whisk you back to Geneva airport (travel time 45 mins) to
catch your evening flight home. |
